Sometimes, MTN used deducts our credit unnecessarily for some subscriptions which we activated. Some of these subscriptions are activated automatically by the MTN. If you want to stop this unnecessarily deductions, you need to deactivate unwanted subscriptions. 
 
Dial *123*5*1# and reply with 2. It will show your active subscriptions. Then reply with the number of any active subscription you want to deactivate.

It is time to say good bye to psiphon and other VPN applications as MTN Magic SIM is back and better. I decided to share my own procedure so that you can get yours activated successfully. Below are the steps I followed in activating my own: 
1. I migrated from MTN Trutalk to MTN Ipulse for better result. 
 
2. I transferred N250 to the SIM. 
 
3. I dialled *131*1*4*1# to subscribe for MTN 2 hours data plan and N250 was deducted from my SIM 
 
4. I browsed for 9 minutes from 4:56pm to 5:04pm ( You can do your own at any time. But the browsing should not exceed 10 minutes) 
 
5. I removed the SIM and kept it for 24 hours 24 minutes. I put the SIM back at 5:30pm the following day 
 
6. As soon as put tge SIM, I received a message from MTN " Y'ello! Your 2hrs 1-Day Data plan has expired.................." . I just ignored the message and continue browsing 
freely.

MTN magic SIM is an unlimited free browsing and downloading that came on air almost three years ago and it lasted more than a year. Now it is back and better. The good news about this Magic SIM is that it doesn't need any settings or VPN app(e.g Psiphon, Tweakeare, Simple Server,etc.) before you can use it. It works as normal MB and it is unlimited. It also works on all devices, e.g Java, Symbian, Android, Ipad, IPhone, PC,etc. 
 
HOW TO ACTIVATE THE MTN MAGIC SIM 
1. Load N300 or transfer N250 to your MTN SIM 
2. Dial *131*1*4*1# to subscribe for MTN 2 hours data plan. N250 will be deducted from Your SIM 
 
3. Browse for 5 or 10 minutes 
4. Then remove the SIM from your phone and keep it for 24 hours. 
 
5. After 24 hours, Insert the Sim back into your phone then ON your data. 
 
In addition, If you receive a message that “Your Subscription have expired” Just ignore the message and start enjoying your free browsing.

ProNet v10.10 is another version of psiphon handler modded by Dzebb and modified by Efrem John. Its apearance is quite different from other psiphon handler versions. It is also tested to work with the Free browsing in Vogue now which MTN 0.00 kobo. This is how it will be used: 
1. Download the ProNet (v 10.10) from the link below and install it

2. Set your Phone APN 
Name: MTN 
APN: web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net 
Proxy: 127.0.0.1 
Port: 8080 
 
3. Open the ProNet and Click on Dzebb Handler.

We have been rocking the MTN 0.0kobo for the past days with SAS,Psiphon, Open VPN and Http Injector. But some people are still unable to activate their own. Fortunately for them, another method had been discovered recently. MTN has removed Music Plus package from their packages and this made it possible for us to access the server for free. So the settings still remain the same with the previous MTN 0.00kobo. Only the proxy server will be changed. The new proxy server is musicplus.mtnonline.com. You can also follow the below screenshots to activate yours. 
 
PHONE SETTINGS 
create new APN and make it your default APN.

WE have been rocking the MTN 0.0kobo for the past days now. But some are still unable to enjoy it on PSIPHON and HTTP INJECTOR. This prompted me to post the tutorial on how to err enjoy it on Open VPN. The procedure is as follows 
 
1. Create new APN and set it as shown below 
Name: MTN 
APN: web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net 
Proxy: 127.0.0.1 
Port: 8080

Activate it as your default APN

2. Download the Open VPN from play store. Enter the playstore and search for OPEN VPN CONNECT. Install the application 
 
3. Download the config file from the link below

Download it to your memory card 
 
4. Launch your open VPN. Go to the Menu or Option and click on IMPORT

5. Click on IMPORT PROFILE FROM SD CARD. Then locate the config file in your memory card and click on SELECT

ENJOY UNLIMITED FREE BROWSING ON MTN WITH HTTP INJECTOR 
 
If you have tried the free browsing on psiphon and it didnt work for you, try it with Http Injector. 
Use the MTN default Apn settings on your Phone. Download Http Injector from Play store. Download the working config file <a href="http://www.datafilehost.com/d/99417eed">Here</a> and import it in your Http injector. 
Then start the Http injector. It will connect. 
 
If you are new in using Http Injection. Read the instructions below on how to activate it. 
1. You need to create an account first. Visit www.fastssh.com to create a free account .select EUROPE as continent.Then Select any of the country in Europe continent either France, Germany etc.(preferably Germany) 
Write the username and password you like and solve the simple math question. Then click create account. 
2. Create New Apn in your Phone Name: MTN 
Apn: web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net 
Others: blank 
3. Configuration for Http Injector Launch your http injector.Go to menu to import config file from your SDcard. Then Click on settings and set it as shown below 
Connection mode: Select any of the two options. But ipbtablet(root) is for rooted devices. 
SSH HOST: Select your host country SSH,e.g. de.serverip.co is for Germany 
SSH PORT: 443 
Username- fastssh.com-your username 
Password : put your password

PSIPHON USERS

Proxy: 127.0.0.1 
Port : 8080 
 
Then open your psiphon and set it 
Tick remove port 
Proxy type: Real Host 
Proxy server: http://172.16.5.226@ 
Real Proxy Type: Default 
Real Proxy Server: 10.199.212.2 
Real Proxy Port : 8080 
Then click save. Go to option,click on Best Performance and choose United State. Click on more option. Tick Connect Through an Http. Tick Use the following Settings. Put 10.199.212.2 in the Host Address and 8080 in the Port. Press back and connect. 
Make sure you don't have Sub or credit on your phone

HOW CAN I USE IT ON MY PHONE 
 
Phone settings 
Use the MTN default settings not 127.0.0.1:8080 because you are using VPN mode. 
 
SIMPLE SERVER SETTINGS Download the simple server V4.00 from playstore and set it as follows 
1. Click Set Connection Mode and choose VPN 
 
2. Dont click PROFiLE 
 
3. In Connection settingsTick Enable Proxy 
Proxy Host and Proxy Port: Put the IP of the package you want to use. If it is MTN muisic plus,BBlite,MTN 2go mb or any other MTN package, use 10.199.212.2 for Proxy Host and 8080 for Proxy Port. But if it is Etisalat chakpack,Etisalat Social Pack or any other Package besides MTN, ,put the IP of the package. 
Tick Enable Header Tweaking. Then Click on Choose Tweak Type and choose Host Replacement. Click on Injection Host and put your Host Address depending on the package you want to use. For music plus musicplus.mtnonline.com/touch/. For BBlite, use web.blackberry.com For Etisalat Chat or Social Pack , use mobile.facebook.com 
 
4. Don't touch the VPN settings unless if you want to use Hospot

HOW TO CREATE CONFIG FILE FOR HTTP INJECTOR

Http injector is one of the popular vpn's for android and it can not be used without a config file. Most people do not know how to create config file. They will searching for it online. I decided to share this tutorial in order to make it easy for http injector users in creating their own config file. In this tutorial,am going to use music plus as an example. Follow the steps carefully. 
1. If you don't have http injector on your phone,you can download it from play store. 
 
2. Open your http injector and click on the the three dots at the top right corner of the application. Then scroll down and click on CLEAR SETTING /DATA

5. Now go back to to the hompage of the application and put your remote proxy Ip and Port as 10.199.212.2:8080 
NOTE 
I use the above Up and port because the config  file we are creating is for music plus. Other packages like Etisalat chat or social pack have their own Ip and Port. 
After you are through with the Up and Port, Tick the START SSH box

6. The next thing is to put your SSH server login details. Click on the three lines at the top left corner of your Http Injector  and select your CONNECT MODE,SSH HOST,USER NAME AND PASSWORD.
